This song is unique to me for several reasons. I wrote this song as a gift to myself. Not to sound selfish, but I also did this for myself and not for the approval of others. However, I’m not above listening to constructive criticism because I’m always interested in growth as a writer and rapper.
When the idea came to write it, it was the Sunday morning before my birthday and I challenged myself to finish writing and record it before Friday. Mission accomplished!
